Firebird reviewed in Brazilian magazine
Coleção Info – a Brazilian publication that focus on specific diferent subjects at each edition, just released a new edition focused on Databases. Firebird is in the list of reviewed products and got a final score of 7.4.
The major “faults” of Firebird, in the reviewer pov, is:
- Installer – He says that there is too many things to read during the installation process (Ed: really?)
- Lack of “default” GUI administration tool (users need to get third party tools for this)
- Security – no support for cryptography
Strong points:
- Full support from many programming languages
- Full featured (transactions, procedures, etc.)
- Very good thirdy party tools
What were the other products and what were their scores?
