Just attached the firebird backend and a patch file. Firebird has a problem, names can’t bigger than 31 chars for tables, fields, constraints, etc. In auth app needed to change user_premissions to permissions so the many to many table name doens’t get too big… must be a way we can workaround this…

FIBS is a solid, lightweight and fast scheduler so as to meet most backup-tasks-needs. It uses firebird/interbase command line tool gbak.exe to backup safetly and mirrors it to any other disc or computer for extra protection against backup-disc crash.

XPlanner it will add support for Defect Tracking Systems like Trac+, JIRA or Bugzilla , some of these can be installed on Firebird (yes it is mentioned in that article)
With this patch applied, the AR test suite runs against FB with relatively few problems (9 failurs and 1 error, compared to 3 failures and 170 errors without the patch). The remaining issues are related to a number of specific defects, which will be addressed in subsequent patch and/or bug-report tickets.
