Firebird events and conferences all over the world
As we have already informed you, we organize the 16th
October together with x2develop.com second annual training conference on the Firebird database platform.
Conference Firebird Developers’ Day 2008 will take place 16th
October 2008 at Prague’s Charles University Faculty of Science, Albertov 6, in the hall known as the Tower. K
Hardsoft TV was covering the last Firebird Developers Day in Brazil, and now interviews started to be put online in their site. You can check the first one here (it is in portuguese, but you can check the images of the local, attendees, speakers, etc). BTW, the link only works with Internet Explorer.

Dmitry Yemanov did a session about Firebirds future, he included several slides about the almost-beta Firebird 2.5, an Alpha build is currently available via Firebirds website.

I think is the best conference I have ever atended and with people from various contries , Some of them
from :Japan , Brazil , South Africa , France, Russia , Holland, Germany and even Dominican Republic. I didn’t listed all of the contries but you can get the picture about the diversity.

I spent the end of the last week at the Firebird Conference 2008 in Bergamo, giving talks on using Delphi with the open source database server.[Read more on the first link]
Yesterday was the final day of the Intl. Firebird Conference, in Bergamo. It was really a great time, and it is always good to meet with Firebird friends. I guess this personal contact is very important for the team, and the yearly conferences is the right place to put many of the core developers together and have lots of good conversation, beer wine and fun!
I would like to thanks P-Soft (Fabio) who organized this year conference. This is not an easy task, but everything was perfect. Thanks!
I hope to meet many of you again in the next year. Go Firebird!
