.net embedded firebird on vista report
It’s a winform .net 2 business app that is very data centric and we tested initially with the embedded FireBird database driver which I had a gut feeling was going to be trouble, but absolutely no problems at all and every aspect is significantly faster than on the same computer with the same hardware exactly but different operating systems.

ThumbsPlus expands database support with firebird
ThumbsPlus (the photo file manager) stores its thumbnails in a database. Until recently, it was limited to using the Microsoft Access JET format, which is limited to 2 gigs.

Patch for the Linux/PPC port – ready
Hi,
Finally, the patch is here. Thanks to Yavor Doganov, who provided me
with access to a PPC machine and was kind enough not to kick me out when
I filled its disks more than once 🙂
GUI for FireBird DB – blog of the day PaweÅ‚ Barut
Friend of mine, that is still working on xBase (Clipper), asked me to recommend him a good GUI tool for SQL database. At first I didn’t know what he exactly wanted. In fact he wanted a tool to retrive and manipulate data in FireBird DB. After trying few tools I recommended IB_SQL. It’s realy light weighted and intuitive.
