Damaged 2.1 RC2 kits on SourceForge replaced
Several 2.1 RC2 kits were damaged on upload to SourceForge. All affected
ones were replaced, but before they’ll get updated on all mirrors,

Firebird 2.1 Release Candidate 2 Ready
The Firebird Project team is happy to announce that download kits for the second (and hopefully, last) V.2.1 release candidate are now available for Windows, Linux and MacOSX Intel 32-bit and 64-bit platforms. You are invited to test it with as much rigour and vigor as you like and report your experiences (good or bad) back to the firebird-devel or the firebird-test list.
As always, please be patient if the files you want haven’t made it out to the mirrors at your first attempt.

you can install flamerobin 0.8.5 snapshot into ubuntu 8.04 by adding these lines in the /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mapopa/ubuntu hardy main
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/mapopa/ubuntu hardy main
$sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install flamerobin
$flamerobin
and now check the about box
flamerobin 0.8.5 snapshot ready in the debian repository
you can test it in debian unstable (amd64 and i386) from debian sid repository
