This article is the description of the first steps in setting QT, Visual Studio and FireBird.
I’m impressed about the new django-firebird driver from svn.No more patching needed for the first 5 chapters in the django book.
Now i’m at chapter 6 from django book and all worked without issues until now.
So i have updated django+firebird post and examples from the book are tested with django 1.1.1 and firebird-django from svn
Maxi Robaina wrote on the new firebird-django-dev list when i told him about my positive impressions:

Damyan Ivanov requested from us to test the new Firebird 2.5 (almost rc1) packages on Debian based distros (Ubuntu)
I have updated the HowTo build the packages from Git repository.
There are still known big issues but you can start testing and give feedback on Firebird Debian list
For the moment Firebird won the second place but we can still vote 🙂 and change the #mysql virtual monopoly on Lamp

There is no such tool yet but you can get the documentation from here (Save As)
