IBSurgeon starts Twitter, Blog, Facebook and SlideShare social outlets

We are glad to announce that we have just started set of our social outlets:

We plan to release to public our internal “library of drafts”: short articles, corruption stories, tips and tricks, etc, which are too small to be published as article or whitepaper in our knowledgeable, but seems to be valuable enough for community, so we’ll release them as tweets, blog posts, etc.

Also we plan to share a lot of presentations we (as well as our colleagues, with their kind permission) have presented of different events, conferences, seminars and webinars, on the great resource SlideShare (it also allows following and social networking):

We are glad to announce the new version of our FBScanner tool. In version 2.5 we have significantly increased feature set, usability and performance of FBScanner. Customers with more than 100 concurrent connections use FBScanner for daily administration of production systems and during QA/development stages. FBScanner is the only tool which can intercept and log all Firebird traffic, and show it in suitable format.

We are glad to announce availability of new versions of IBSurgeon emergency tools for Firebird and InterBase: IB/FB FirstAID 2.6, IBBackupSurgeon 2.6, IBUndelete 2.6 and IBSurgeon Pack 3.6.
New versions have support for Firebird 2.1 and InterBase 2009, as well as a lot of improvements in recovery algorithms and bug fixes.

We are pleased to announce beta version of FBScanner Community Edition 2.5, free tool to monitor and manage connections and transactions.
With FBScanner Community Edition you can easily view instant snapshots of connections and SQL queries in Firebird 1.0-2.5 and InterBase 5.6-2009.
It is useful for administration tasks for Firebird Classic and SuperServer; for step-by-step debugging to view actual state of SQL-queries,
and even to reveal SQL-queries texts in close-sourced applications.

30 October 2007, in Paris, France there will be free seminar, organized by IBSurgeon (www.ib-aid.com), IBPhoenix France (www.ibphoenix.fr), Fast Reports (www.fast-report.com) and Mandriva (www.mandriva.com).
Speakers at seminars will be Paul Beach, President of Firebird Foundation, with keynote and Firebird news, Vlad Khorsun, Firebird core developer, Dmitry Kuzmenko, IBSurgeon CEO and recovery and optimization expert, Mike Filippenko, Fast Reports CEO, and Philippe Makowski, vice-president of Firebird Foundation and chief consultant at IBPhoenix France.
