Thomas Steinmaurer made available for public download the PDF of his article about Firebird 2.5, published previously in the Entwickler Magazin.
The Firebird team is pleased to announce that kits for field-testing the second release candidate for Firebird 2.5 are now available.
Both 32-bit and 64-bit kits are available for Linux, Windows and MacOSX/Darwin Intel platforms, here:

While you are reading this, Firebird 2.5 RC2 is being prepared for release. Users feedback will show if a RC3 will be needed, or if RC2 will be followed by the final release.
