Building Firebird 1.5.3 with gcc 4 – patches

All patches applied to the debian package of firebird are available on
[1]. The ones you’re looking for are gcc4.dpatch and gcc4+amd64.dpatch

Please note that these patches change some .epp files that also have
corresponding .cpp files supplied by the source tarball. The build
process for debian removes[2] all generated files before patching,
including .cpp files that are generated from .epp’s. Under normal
circumstances your .cpp files should be re-generated automatically
from patched .epp’s, but I’d better raise the flag.
